Candace Davis

Visual Editor

It’s Candace here! I’m a child of God, a Fashion Merchandising Student, and importantly; a fashion enthusiast. I knew from my first modeling camp while I was only 8 years old that fashion was something that I was really passionate about. Now at 20 years of age, I am still growing and learning all of the aesthetics of fashion and the business that it carries with it. With that said being one of the contributors that does the visual of A Fashion Fix blog, my role is to bring a new vibe to fashion blogging that is clean cut. So come and get our inside tea on the world of fashion. And get your daily fix.

Rachel Rieves

Writer / Researcher

There is Rihanna, Kim Kardashian, Naomi Campbell, Yara Shahidi, Margot Robbie, and then there is me. Rachel Rieves, a 19 year old Fashion Merchandising major who attends Johnson & Wales University. You’re probably thinking to yourself; nobody knows who you are, so why put yourself in their category and you are totally right. However, one day I see myself on their level. Fashion has been a part of my life since the age of 10. I couldn’t afford the latest fashion styles, so I created my own style with the goodwill “hammy-downs” and Walmart clothes I was given. Man… have times changed. I will never forget the time I got laughed at for wearing my dad’s oversized t-shirt from Goodwill with black and white Wellies in middle school. As I look back on that day, I just laugh; but at the time, I was so embarrassed. In today’s society, shopping at Goodwill is called “Thrifting”. No matter how much I got laughed at, I always remembered to stay true to myself. Fashion has given me the confidence I needed and plays a big role in who I am today. With that said, as the … of A Fashion Fix, my role is to bring….and my team and I aim to… So come and enjoy or read our take on the world of fashion and get your daily fix.

Nia Smith

Writer/ Researcher

Hi, I am Nia, 19 years old from the Virgin Islands. I am currently majoring in Fashion Merchandising with a minor in Marketing. I am so passionate about fashion. As a child, I enjoyed seeing the work and style of designers. The thrill of watching fashion models showcase current trends on the runway really inspired me to one day own my own fashion empire.

As an Island girl, it’s important to me to incorporate my roots within all aspects of my fashion businesses and goals.   With that being said, my role is to bring the Visuals and flair to our blog and show you why it’s a good idea to visit the islands.

Alexus Wade

Editor

Yup that’s me , ALexus “that’s so Lexi”  Wade. I am 19 years old, from Memphis Tennessee by way of North Miami; currently attending Johnson and Wales University as a Fashion-Merchandising Major. I fell in love  with fashion very early on by watching my mom make tutus, bows, tights, and customized tees. I would always help her with making her clothes and in the end I realized that’s what I wanted  to do forever…. become a fashion designer. With that said, my role as editor for the A Fashion Fix is to bring new energy while giving you your daily fix.
